An art form consisting of sound and silence. Elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, structure, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.
I want to diverge a bit from the course outline to do something a little different for Music.
One, I have done an analysis of the two most important songs for the Thai people – the national anthem and the royal anthem.
Two, I also did analyses of music that has influenced my worldviews using CoolEdit, a music recording and editing program that I once used commonly, but rarely do I ever anymore. What better way to create entries for my music journal than to do them aurally?
